Learn how to Paint Without Leaving Home
FORT MYERS, Fla. (January 5, 2021) — Edison and Ford Winter Estates is hosting artist Marie Dyer for a series of painting workshops, including two that will be offered via Zoom for a virtual experience.

January 15, 10 a.m.
Zoom-Based Still Life Painting Class
Impressionist painter, Marie Dyer, will teach a still life workshop via Zoom. Dyer will explain color mixing, effect design, impressionistic techniques, shading, and effective color contrast to create mood. This acrylic on canvas painting workshop is for any painting level. Cost: Edison Ford members: $75, non-members: $80.
January 27, 10 a.m.
Zoom-Based Landscape Painting Class
Inspired by the lush grounds of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, participants will create a unique landscape painting. All experience levels are welcome. Cost: Edison Ford members: $75, non-members: $80.
February 20, 10 a.m.
Silk Scarf Painting Class
In this workshop at Edison and Ford Winter Estates, participants will learn techniques to create a one-of-a-kind 14″ by 72″ silk scarf. No experience is required and all materials and will be supplied. Capacity is limited. Cost: Edison Ford members: $90, non-members: $100
Supply list for the January 15 and January 27 Zoom classes:
Two 8″×10″ canvas boards or plain canvases for practice
One 11″×14″ or 14″×16″ canvas for painting
Liquitex acrylic or golden acrylic paints: ultramarine blue, phthalocyanine blue, cadmium yellow light, cadmium yellow medium, white, and basic red cadmium
Brushes
Water bucket
Paper towels
Paper plates to be used for pallet
