Floral Arranging Class Offered at Edison and Ford Winter Estates
FORT MYERS, Fla. (January 27, 2022) — On February 22, 1:30-3:30 p.m. and February 26, 10 a.m. – noon, Edison and Ford Winter Estates will offer a class on Floral Arranging with Tropical Plants and Foliage. Taught by horticultural specialist, Karen Maxwell, the class will include 40 minutes of classroom instruction about the concept of plant conditioning and how to make a professional-looking arrangement using plants and foliage found in a home garden.

After the instruction, the group will move to the Banyan picnic area (behind the historic Banyan tree), where materials will be provided for each participant to create an arrangement that they can take home. A selection of plant materials sourced from the Estates’ 20-acre botanical garden will be available. Horticulturists and award-winning floral designers will be on hand to assist with design.
The classroom instruction will take place in the Garden Council building located across the street from the Estates parking lot on Larchmont Avenue (adjacent to 2153 Larchmont Avenue). At the conclusion of class, each participant will receive a 20% discount coupon for plant purchases in the Garden Shoppe. Advance registration is required and limited to 25 participants.
