Where did you and your fiancé meet?
We actually went to the same high school together but didn’t know each other. We spent the next few years metaphorically only a step away from each other – living about five minutes away from one another at one point, in the same exact town and neighborhood for just about our whole lives. We finally connected online and decided to meet. After that first “walk in the park” basically in our own back yard – we knew it was worth the wait.
Who popped the question – and how, where and when?
Chris popped the question on a trip to St. Augustine – again in a park, under beautiful trees and when I least expected it. It was perfect. Little did I know, he had been trying to propose for months and I kept changing plans on him – fortunately he isn’t one to give up easily!
Why did you choose Edison and Ford Winter Estates for your wedding location?
There were many reasons. We both wanted an outdoor wedding, somewhere unique, and at a place with meaning that would be around forever. Nature lovers at heart, we both fell immediately in love with the beauty of the tree we got married under. We knew it was the perfect place to establish our own roots as husband and wife.
Do you have any advice for those planning a wedding?
Don’t get caught up in the details! Just remember that you are getting married to the love of your life – what else REALLY matters?
