grade throughout the school year. These programs are designed to enhance children’s education in STEAM (science technology, engineering, art, and math), history and the natural world.
Camps are offered when Lee County School District schools are closed and are taught by the education staff, called “Wild Wizards,” in the living laboratory at the Estates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Members receive discounted registration fees.
The Spooky Science Camp will be offered on October 16. During this camp, students will conduct wild and wacky science experiments and get to watch several demonstrations. They will watch a lava lamp demonstration with black lights and fluorescent colors, a dry ice demonstration with ghost bubbles and spooky foggy effects, and make glow-in-the-dark slime.
Registration is required at EdisonFord.org. The cost of the camp is $50 per student for non-members, and $45 for Edison Ford members.
